DESOLATE WAYS Begins Recording Third Album
July 21, 2008Brazilian gothic/doom metal band DESOLATE WAYS has entered Nitro Sound Solutions studio with producer Roger Fingle (vocalist and multi-instrumentist of BLOOD TEARS and SEDUCED BY SUICIDE) to begin recording its third album for a late 2008 release. A studio diary has been launched on the group's official web site.
Commented vocalist Max Lima: "The recordings couldn't be better. It's already possible to have a good idea of the new songs' power. I think we got back to the past a little bit, with a darker sound. It's the first time working with Roger Fingle, and I can say that it's being a great experience. We definitely came back with more experience as musicians, besides of that it's great to enjoy the city of Caxias do Sul, with great Italian food and extremely cold weather."
"Drowned in Tears", the second video from DESOLATE WAYS, can be viewed below. The track comes off the group's second effort, "Tearful", which was released in 2007 by Erpland Records. The band once again collaborated with Giselle Jacques, a well-known South American director which has won several awards, including 12º Gramado Cinevídeo and 8º Prêmio IECINE.
